We are diving the wrecks of Isle Royale aboard the Superior Explorers 37 foot Amarada. There are a limited number of spots available so call the shop to reserve your place early. This is a four day live aboard trip that includes meals and air fills. For additional information and to book your spot call Air Down There SCUBA at 651-482-0977 or go to under travel.

That would be correct. The diving here does require an adavnced certification or a detailed log book documenting similar experience.

Yes that is what I meant and I have modified the posting to reflect this. Sorry for the confusion.

Re:ISLE ROYALE TRIP AUGUST 1 to 4, 2003
I went on a trip last fall and had a fantastic time.

The wrecks were great!

The America is an easy shallow intact wreck that you could never dive enough. (I even did a freedive on it). Captain Harold has to be one of the nicest guys around. He has been diving Isle Royale since the beginning and has plenty of stories to tell. His boat is nice and he is continually improving it. It has a compressor, a dive ladder and entrance in the rear that makes entering and exiting the water a breeze.

The food was fabulous - even though at the last minute I told them I was a vegetarian. The best part of the trip is the island itself. Hiking and swimming on the island was a blast and don’t forget all the moose!

Caution: Going to Isle Royle will give you shipwreck fever! :-*
