Re:Crosby April 26,27
Fred, that would be awesome if you could make it. I heard from some of the divers last year that it was pretty cool seeing how fast you were with those freediving fins.

Re:Crosby April 26,27
Actually Igotoofar, I did a quick search on the Internet and found this:
Lake Rawlings...Near Virginia Beach, VA.
They have a night dive Saturday Night and a morning dive Sunday Morning!!!
65 feet max depth , 20 acres in size.
Spring water temps 45-60 degrees.

My story about work is still true!!! But if I can , you can't blame me for trying a Virginia dive site!!!!

Thanks again...Dive Safe...and have a wonderful time!!!
Jean Smile

P.S. Fred: I am honored you can stand in for me!!! Now I will know who is making the wakes while swimming... Wink

Fred,
Fast swimmer, no tank on back, dark color...hmmmm...don't be mistaken for a certain dam building aquatic mammal with SATSAB on the loose.

Jean,

If you make it diving in Virgina, let us know what the vis is like. I use to go to Virgina Beach as a kid and the water seemed a bit murky along the coast, but hopefully it clears up the further you go out. Have fun Smile

I was looking forward to meeting you Jean sorry you won't be there I doubt Fred can truly stand in your place ;D

Just to make sure: The McDonalds everyone is meeting at Sat Morning is how far from the dive shop (On Hwy 210 right)? ON the way to the pits.

Re:Crosby April 26,27
as long as Fred's teeth don't look like this > ;D , he'll be safe. I know a beaver when I see one, most of the time. Relatives or not, they're just pesky little tree killin', dam building, land flooding vermin!
Have you had your beaver today? Wink

Re:Crosby April 26,27
Great day at Crosby!
Big turnout for the day - nomads and ed, lrmoll,gp,jasonbaker, linda, larry, danl, pete g,jason - think I have everyone. New drysuits, new bp/wings, etc etc to become familiar with, about 38F water below 30ft, and maybe 20-30ft viz made for challenging dives. That and a warm, sunny day made everyone pretty tuckered out by dinnertime.
A few were camping over Sat night to dive Sun am.
All-in-all, a pretty great early season dive day.
Thanks everyone, especially those that patiently waited while I slowly tried to get into my new gear.
