big carnelian lake vis

hung out and did some dives at big carnelian today on the south and north sides,
vis was about 10-15 feet, good light penetration, didnt need a light down to 40ft
surface was 70F
thermo at 20ft,
coldest temp i saw was 50F (maybe colder but temp is irrelevant),
was really happy with most of the weeds being about a foot tall...
parking was full, lots of boats on the lake, lots of fish

There is a real nice Navy anchor in the middle of the sand bar on the way into the bay. I didn't pull it because I didn't need it. Figured if I did, I'd go get it. It's pink

There was a pink plastic 15lb on the north side hole... was in 40 feet of water with 30 feet of nice rope  ;D ... same kind as terry's 'lucky' waconia anchor charm.

dove there on monday sep 5th 2011, vis was 10' at best and very green right now still, temp was whatever  this site is dead lately.

mostly sandy bottom lake, huge crayfish.

I assume there is a free access.
  went to Wayzee today,nice day vis around 20-25 feet.
  Last week was Or b gone vis 30-35 feet 40 miles furhter than wayzee.
