Re: Car in Joan
What kind of video cam are you using?
The farther back you can look, the farther forward you will see . . . Winston Churchill

Re: Car in Joan
No need for GPS, you could probably see the car from shore on a sunny day with no wind.

Re: Car in Joan

Had to make a run up to Crosby yesterday anyway so thought I'd go check out the car, its a 97 Monte Carlo with a 3.1L V-6, both license plates and its VIN plate have been removed, she sits facing shore in 11-17' in the very northern corner of Joan. Its yellow marker is sherrif's "do not cross" tape, tied to the open drivers door and floated with plastic water bottles taped together. It was a cloudy day yesterday and the open hood edge and broken head light assemblie's could be seen from the top of the bank easily enough. Interior, trunk, and glove box were emptied out, except for a current students ID card from East High School, under the drivers seat. Not too steep of bank to get in and out, but glad it not too long on the way out.
The only bummer was the constant percolating of gas to the surface, and watching it spread out, (not like Joan had any visibility to loose) causes you to need to submerge right away. near shore to avoid swimming in the sheen.
