Hey guys,
Here are a few pics from Medicine Lake yesterday. It was good getting my first ice dive in this year already. Thanks again.

My hat's off to team G. Glad you guys made it out.  8)

wheeler, trailer, heater, & dive shack  :o. Looks like misery is going further down the list  ;D. I may have evolved too far down the comfortable diving scale with all of my Bahamian adventures. Now that I am no longer a PSD, the desire to be as trained and ready for potential ice diving recovery has lost some of its appeal. Have a lot of good memories and dives from the first one though.  8)

Re: TRINITY'S 3rd annual 2012/2013 icing challenge

Thanks Nate, was the coldest day so far, so we opted for a shack, it made it pretty nice.            Other then my burner melted into the ice so bad, as we were packing up, I couldn't get her free, so I had to cut her out of the ice (in Jason second pic) will need to put longer legs on the stove, I think. :-\
Now just cause your no longer a PSD ( I've got mixed feelings on that) dosen't mean you can't come out and jump with us, we jump every weekend all year, I'll hit 100 ice jumps inside 3.5 seasons, in a couple weeks. I'm sure your still tough enough, don't you go Dave Torry on us now, not sure about John, those union carps have it so easy nowdays. We should be able to drive out this weekend, had 11 inches of clear on Medicine Lake, yesterday, and they were driving 1/2 tons out there.

Re: TRINITY'S 3rd annual 2012/2013 icing challenge
I was another great day of ice diving.

Jason, It was great that you could make it out with us.

I will have to see what this coming weekend has for me.  I might just have to make it out with you guys again.

I will just have to go fishing on Sunday, or even Saturday night.

Where to next?  Sullivan, Cedar, Big Swan, Waconia ??  Let's find a lake somewhere out west of the Metro..   ;D

I was just testing the waters....  LOL  I don't think that we have to go there..  Although I have not yet did any ice
diving on that lake.

We will just have to stay away from the people fishing.   ;D

Re: TRINITY'S 3rd annual 2012/2013 icing challenge
Was a pretty nice day for icing yesterday. First time for all of us to drive onto the lake in season and a half, that was a nice change. Ice was consistantly 11.5" thick and clear, sun was bright, vis was only ok, nothing steller, especially for icing, only 5-7'. Did recover a few things that dont really belong on the bottom. A weighted bag of smoking supplies, intentionally sunk to, honor the lake gods? A tackle box and a older outboard. The best part is messing with the people you meet, like the old guy who asked, "what are you guys doing?" I said, "scubadiving thru the ice", he just shook his head.
