one of the cleanest holes i think this year. not an edge to it.combo half drilled(not thru the bottom) auger. with 20inch saw, then finished by spud/hand saw. actualy faster than you would think. ohh, and final auger thru.

Nate and I did a little ice diving on Spectacle Lake on Saturday also. Here are some photos from the day:

Nate and I also shot a couple videos on Saterday. The first one is a bunch of underwater stuff showing the "DIVE" logo from below along with an auger coming through the ice and some fast-forwarded swimming around. Here is a link to that video:

The second video was supposed to be time laps of our set-up process... but the battery in the land camera died right away. I tried to salvage the video by taking the color out. Now it looks like an old fashioned black and white silent movie. Its pretty funny even though it is kinda making fun of ourselves. Here is a link to that video:

A clean ice hole sure makes the day a lot more enjoyable!  ;D We have started using the auger/saw combo too. Nice and smooth! No rope snags and easy ice removal.

Not a single comment on the ice art?  ???  It was both fun and challenging  8)

Now that we know it works, we will do a more elaborate one. Might have to wait until next year with less ice for the detail to show through.
