RE: Spectacle Lake 2014
Video was pretty cool. The view is awesome. I could use one of them to check out my hunting spot, before I even get there. Big Grin

I don't have any photos of the actual helicopter yet but here is another video. This one is over the horse pasture buzzing our horses:

RE: Spectacle Lake 2014
We needed to mount the Zenmuse H3 2D gimbal to the belly of the chopper. There are a few items to take care of prior to flight: Before each flight, we need to toggle the onboard GPS to lock on to at least 10 different satellites and wait for the LED's to confirm the satellite lock. We also needed to calibrate the onboard compass by following a small sequence. This calibration should only need to be done once unless the helicopter is used more than 30 miles from the last calibration.

sorry I posed the question from my phone... I have since looked up your 'copter... I was at first thinking you had a RC enthusiast kit where you have to program the radio controller.

I'm not that technical... I admire technology, but I don't understand most of it.

talking tech. anyone(scuba-flash) know if it would be possible to run a transducer(fish finder) off a lap top? or how difficult it would be to set up something like this. in particular a narrow beam or custom built transducer.
