How much weight do I need?
I want to make sure I bought enough weight, do you think 22 pounds will do?<br><br>200 pounds plus semi-dry suit...<br><br>The equation I've heard is 10% + 2 pounds.

Yeah that's probably pretty close to what you'll need with your full coldwater gear on. I think I was using about 24lbs on my dives this past fall and I'm 200lbs. myself.

Yeah, the approximate weight for cold water use (local) is 10% of your body weight and add 4lbs (7mm suit w/hood & gloves). That for starters, some need less, some need more. <br><br>

So I'll probably need to get a couple more pounds then... I did the 10% +2 pounds. Either that or I'll just lose some weight! :
