2004 Dive Season Goals
We had one of these threads last year so I thought I'd start one up for this year since we are approaching the new year.
Here are mine I guess.

>Get back to Milwaukee for wreck diving
>Dive Door County with JasonB
>Try and dive as much as last year
>Spend 0 $ on gear this year :Smile
>Maybe do a trip to Isle Royale

Re:2004 Dive Season Goals
Goal #1: Dive more!
Goal #2: Dive more!

Well, you get the idea. Didn't get much diving in this year at all really, summer really flew by quick. I think I only got like 8 dives in total, I think most of you beat that in a couple weeks!

Re:2004 Dive Season Goals
Jean's 2004 goals: 8)

Goal #1: Leave wallet in the car when I go into a dive shop!
Goal #2: Make it thru DiveMaster
Goal #3: Quit putting up with that 905 harrasement!
Goal #4: Have more fun than I did last summer!
Goal #5: DIve more than I did last summer!
Goal #6: Anything else that I can think of between now and then.

P.S. As for Goal #3 , getting a 905 suit is *NOT* an option... :'(

'04 season goals
O.K., O.K... So I cut and pasted from last year Wink

1. go spearfishing for northern pike over at Sakagawea (would like to get just 1 BIG one)
2. maybe strategically (secretly) place some (more) stuff (steel bathtubs, or whatever) under the water
3. Improve on my skills (obviously)
4. Dive more (and dive more with a buddy)
5. Free Dive to -120' (or more)
6. Hold my breath for 5:00
7. Take a Performance Freediving Clinic, maybe in Florida (would be a good time to try and achieve #5)
8. Get someone locally really addicted to freediving so I have a good buddy all the time. (got my brother hooked..he ventured to -69' with me..and now has is own equipment..others in the family are getting there...tim did great too..-60'..)
9. get my wife to at least -30' so she can be my #8 (still to much trouble equalizing)

Re:2004 Dive Season Goals
The freediver mantra:
1- longer
2- deeper
3- further

All on a single breath of air- of course. Wink

Jon

P.S. I am sure this mantra would fit just as well in most tech diving circles- except the part about the one breath.

Re:2004 Dive Season Goals
I suppose I should chime in here as well.. Since I have so many of you to keep me honest and check my progress through the new year.

1) Get my ice cert... Already paid so I better get this resolved.
2) Get my rescue cert.
3) Spend lots more time submerged... This year was great, thanks to all of you. I hadn't dove in 1.5 years so it was nice getting in 30 dives or so.
4) Venture out to Crosby, haven't made it there yet.
5) more wreck dives in Superior
6) figure out my digital cam underwater...
7) Drum roll please... Dive either the Great Barrier Reef or Antarctica, and/or maybe Thialand.

1. dive more than I did in 2003

2. Dive Superior in DRY suit

3. Avoide rock climbing in a wetsuit!

4. Have at least as much or even more fun as I did in 2003 ;D

5. Spend more $ on training than gear
