Regarding the old pier below Fitger's...

The St. Louis river is dumping it's spring debris not far from there.  I really doubt the viz would be any good right now, at least until the spring runoff is complete, which may take just about forever this spring.  Ugh!

Boy, you guys are full of good news today.  Sure is hard to dive this time of year.  Better safe than sorry though.  I guess it's too much to ask that the weather men and women will be wrong...for a change.

Went and checked out Wazee today,  Sherwood  Forest has enough open water to get under, out from the beach has condiserable area of open water.  South Boat landing all the ice is being blown towards that area due to the storm.  No snow just lots or rain and wind.

Re: Duluth dive Apr-11
Wazee was great or at least open. The first dive was down the 75' road and wander back about 50 minutes. Easy dive, ice is way out.

Second dive to the left didn't see much and too deep or too shallow for structure. Just sand, ooz, dead fish part and one really sick trout. icky looking. Anyway, all was normal, got under a little patch of ice at the end but it's so rotten that I was able to punch my fist through the 4 or 5 inches without much effort. I felt like a sea lion looking around.

Legal junk: Close cover before striking, diving is hazardous, your results may vary, stop use if rash persists, Wazee isn't safe until the ice clears,  don't follow me I'm lost.

Thank scubajunkie.
