Re: Two Rivers-Wisconsin
I agree. Â
diving sometimes is tough enough, and thats without cameras hanging everywhere. Â Next year I will most likely get some video equipment and try that, but finding equipment rated to 250'+ is not easy and not cheap. Â
Go Big, or go home!

Roger,
What camera setup are you using for your pictures. Those shots from Isle Royale look great!! |

Re: Two Rivers-Wisconsin
Thanks for the compliments, guys. Â I was actually surprised by how well the photos turned out, considering the limited visibility.
Camera gear: Canon Digital Rebel 300D Canon EF-S 10-22mm zoom lens (used 10mm; similar to 15mm on Nikonos) Ikelite DSLR housing with dome port 2 Ikelite 100A substrobes (big & unwieldy on the surface, not bad at depth) Shot RAW format with manual settings, generally 2' from subject.  Using dual strobes helped immensely, as did having a model (Dave Owen) who knew where to be.  Processed RAW files with CaptureOne LE (nice!). I hope to spend more time with the camera and stage / deco bottles in preparation for tech trips next year, but the housing's 200' depth rating worries me.  And the camera with strobes is way too big to simply dangle on a leash. Solution: Practice. |
