From Sumerset WI you can go a couple of miles upstream where there is a public access to the river. I don't remember the exact directions, but I believe it is near where the river crosses highway 64. You can then float downstream and exit at the public park in town. I'd recommend using a wetsuit, mask, snorkel, and dive boots (no tanks or fins).
