Dan, I got the new rig on Monday. I'll be anxious to use it Sunday. Some of the Joan pics turned out pretty good. I'll email a couple to you.

Re:Brrr... Drysuit Season is Approaching!
Interesting question to all of you:
Since my whole diving career has been Minn-Wis, I have never dove past the end of September. How much diving is done in Oct and Nov around here??? I would assume quite a lot!!! (Just curious) I think I will start a thread about the Pumpkin Carving contest...Always wanted to try that. Thanks...Jean ;D
How's my diving? Call 1-800-EAT-FISH

Re:Brrr... Drysuit Season is Approaching!
I tried a pumpkin carving contest at Lake Okoboji in Iowa last October and it was challenging, but a lot fun. I think I would for sure be better at this year.

Re:Brrr... Drysuit Season is Approaching!
Some use wet suits all year around, even on ice dives. I think lots of things can be done to keep warm.
* Bring warm water with and pre wet your suit with the warm weather * Bring a tent shelter to keep the wind off. * Kerosene heaters * Keep tubs of warm water to stand in from time to time. * Large jackets to wear over the wet suit. * Dry the outside of the wetsuit with a towel to reduce evaporation. What other things can you think of? The pumpkin carving sounds like fun but I believe I am busy that weekend. I believe you go out in teams of two. The top is cut and the seeds removed before you go out. It is suggested that you go to a dive platform. You can put the pumpkin under the platform to keep it from surfacing without you. ;D
