The application would be for staged decompression dives where you carry with another smaller tank (typically an AL40 slung on the left side) containing a nitrox mix to use for decompression stops.

Yes it would be. The computer won't give you your air pressure but, it will compute your off gassing based on the new % of Oxygen in the EAN Nitrox you are using. That of course will help you off load the Nitrogen faster, shorten your surface interval and increase your bottom time on your next dive.

No it's a completly different chip. Usually with dive computers from both Suunto and Uwatc they don't have software upgrades.

I have also just recieved in stock a Vyper2 Wrist unit and I still have a small number of Cobra2 in stock. We of course have more on order but, they tend to come in slowly as a new product.
