Re: Gooseberry Dive?
Is there anywhere to get air near Goosberry?  We are camping that weekend and diving the Maderia but that will emtpy our tanks.  I never thought about diving at Gooseberry,  now I want to give it a shot but need to figure out where to get the tanks filled.  Any thoughts?

Re: Gooseberry Dive?
Call the shops in Duluth and see if any are available for an airfill on the day you plan to be up there.  OR if anyone else in that area has extra tanks they can bring for you to use?!?!
My name is Lisa and I'm a SCUBAholic. It's been toooo long since my last dive!

Re: Gooseberry Dive?
It's very likely I can make the 8th or 9th. I don't think I'll camp out but I'll come up for the day.

Someone needs to bring lunatim so he doesn't quit diving. Smile
Ask your doctor if getting off your ass is right for you.

Re: Gooseberry Dive?

Innerspace Scuba 726-1010, is open Sat and Sun...if you want to just grab a couple more tanks, I'd call ahead to make sure they have tanks to rent ahead of time.  Sometimes most of the smaller tanks are out for students on the weekends.  Yan does rent AL80's tho.  Check their website.

Re: Gooseberry Dive?
Count me in for Aug. 8 or 9.  I was up there last weekend camping with my family.  Very painful to not have the dive gear with me.  I hear there is some wreckage of an old wooden ship near the mouth of the river.  Should be fun.

Re: Gooseberry Dive?
Aug 8...anyone can meet me at the Burger King on London Road in Duluth at 9AM.  341-0288 if you want to give me a ring.  We can dive from the Picnic area or off to the south of that...I've heard there's a bit of a wall over there...you don't see many walls close to shore in Lake Superior.

Bring some grub....
